Aerocool Hi-Tech 7A: funkční skříň | Kapitola 4

Aerocool Hi-Tech 7A nám nabízí zajímavé funkce, které u ostatních skříní budeme hledat jen s obtížemi. Řeč je samozřejmě o vestavěném předním panelu, díky němuž můžeme manuálně či automaticky dle naměřených teplot ovládat otáčky ventilátorů, i když je bohužel nelze zcela vypnout. Kvalitní je také samotný displej, na nějž je dobře vidět ze všech potřebných úhlů a nastavení není nijak složité. Co se tedy týče tohoto panelu, nemáme snad ani nač si stěžovat, i když samozřejmě vše lze provést lépe.

Se zbytkem skříně to již tak růžové není. Naše verze má k dispozici prosklenou bočnici, ale existuje také model s klasickou plechovou bočnicí a na druhou stranu model s 400mm ventilátorem, jehož přínos je otázkou. Akrylát je zde pěkně zpracovaný, masivní a pevně, i když trochu spartánsky připevněný. Jako hlavní materiál byl použit pouze 0,6mm SECC plech a i když je konstrukce čerstvě zakoupené skříně celkem pevná, našel jsem dva uvolněné nýtky, jichž může časem přibývat, a to může vyústit ve sníženou pevnost a rezonanci ve spojích. A pak je zde také nezanedbatelný problém - málo místa pro přední ventilátor. Pokud jej budeme chtít nainstalovat, bude rovněž nutné posunout pevné disky ven z jejich šachty a to by se nám nemuselo přes grafickou kartu podařit.

Jinak si ani není na co stěžovat i z hlediska pořizovací ceny. Chladicí systém by mohl sice využít lépe zpracované rošty, ale jinak je v základu tato skříň tichá a svůj přínos mají také přední prachové filtry, k nimž se lze velmi snadno dostat po odtržení plastového panelu. To je asi tak vše, co mohu k tomuto modelu říci.

Aerocool Hi-Tech 7A offers us some interesting functions which are rather rare among other computer cases. Of course, I am talking about the embedded front panel and its capability of automatic (according to the measured temperatures) or manual fan speed control. The sad thing is that we are unable to turn the fans completely off. The front display is also well made; one has no problems to read it from all necessary angles and controlling the functions and settings with the help of four buttons should not be a problem either. In conclusion, the front panel is functional and usable, but of course - everything can be made better.

The rest of the case is sadly not a matter to praise to the skies. The tested version's side panel has an acrylic window, but there are two other versions - one with a normal metal side panel and one with a huge 400mm side fan which might or might not be of practical use. In this case, the acrylic window is nicely finished; however, one might say that it is a bit crudely attached. The main material of Hi-Tech 7 is just 0.6mm SECC steel and even if the body of the case was acceptably firm, I found two loose rivets. This could eventually lead to decreased firmness of the case and also unpleasant noises (of course, this is just a hypothetical situation). Final reproach goes to the front fan position. If the user wants to cool his/her HDDs actively, that is with the front fan, there is not enough space for this solution. The HDDs have to be pushed from their positions and that might not be possible, because there may be some cards in the motherboard (especially the graphics card(s)).

Otherwise the case is good, as well as its price. The cooling system could have had less restrictive fan grills, but on the other hand, Hi-Tech 7A is reasonably quiet and there are also front dust filters that are easy to reach and clean.
